Houston based artist, KayJay Divine, has been honoring her skills with acrylic paint since 2014, but truly her passion for art started in 2023. KayJay likes to say that her art journey started in 2023 because that's when it became something more than painting on a canvas. It became wanting to create art that people would pass down for generations.
Her inspiration comes from the everyday person. Wanting to capture the beauty in the average or not so average person. Her inspirations often come from her literal dreams and wanting to make them a reality. From a young artist who would sell her first works of art to her aunt, who once said, "Every wall in my house needs to tell a story", KayJay set out to make every wall a beautiful story teller.
